Your computer must think that .Dat files are meant for Notepad. Shouldn't affect the files themselves though, unless you open them up and mess with things.

Keep up the wonderful work, JeanPaul<3!

A question: Do you know where the icons for job abilities are? (the new SE fancy ones in the menu.)

Where do I say "thank you"? I can't live without your icons.

Speaking of, is there a simple way we can update these ourselves in case you're busy and can't do it right away?

If you want to update the file on your own in the future, follow these steps:

1) Back-up the brand new ROM/119/57.DAT file from the update
2) Reacquire the latest 57.DAT that has my icons in them, such as from this site
3) Download FFXI Icon Change v3.3 from my mod tool collection
4) Open the program and load the newest version of 57.DAT
5) On the toolbar, click Action > Import...
6) Import From > old version of 57.DAT with my icons
7) Import Options > Image Data
8) Import Range > Range > 0 to 612
9) File > Save
10) Overwrite ROM/119/57.DAT with the newly saved file

Every time I try to download this, it tells me I can't and takes me to the login screen.   I've downloaded other items from this site.  Is there something different with the permissions for this file?

I'm really mad at myself for not even thinking of trying that.  I'm not sure if I was using Opera or Firefox earlier, but it worked in Firefox, thanks!

@JueanPaul
Thank you for all your hard work on this icon set! It is very much appreciated by the community.

I'm wondering if you are still updating the project? I am interested in using the dats/icons you have compiled as a base for a merged set of icons between this compilation and the XI-View icon style. I noticed there were a few you have completed that were still default in xi-view, and vice-versa for that project as well.

Please let me know if this is permissible, as I would like to host the project on GitLab so it can be easily accessed in the future.

Additionally, if you are able and don't mind, can you send the icons you have modified with layers still separated? That would save me a lot of time reverse-engineering some of the color choices (ie. HP and TP text indicators seem to be swapped). Thanks in advance!

Again, this is amazing work and I really thank you for your contribution to the FFXI community.
